About wSnake
wSnake is an IoT newtork, with the main purpose to provide a reliable interconnected network of IoT devices, server and personal computers. To ensure data protection the network uses end to end encryption with the widely used AES algorythm.
Clients can connect over Ethernet, or via a wSnake Access Point. Each client must log in to the server before they are able to communicate on the network.
Server Pool
The center of the network is the wSnake Server Pool, which connects between client devices, maintains the connections and functions as a router for all traffic. The pool runs on 32/64 bit Windows and Linux systems. The multithreaded structure ensures scalability from small to multi processor systems.
The server pool acts like a switch on the network. Every packet is first sent to the server then based on the wSnake address the server will forward the packet to the intended target.
Access Point
wSnake APs can maintain connection with a large number of clients. The hardware uses the NRF24L01 transceiver module that offers bandwidth up to 2 Mbps and a 1.1 km of service range.
As development continues more information will be available.
